horizon_greene: Robert Smith looking down. Disintegration era. (robert disintegration)
Please enjoy this beautiful gif of Robert and Simon kissing onstage. I certainly am.

I'd seen the Sunrise kiss before, but I don't recall this particular angle, and it's utterly magnificent. Their hands <3

And the video (good stuff at the 2:59 mark):

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of this at future shows.

Because my heart can't take it.

And video, which gets majestic at the 2:51 mark.

horizon_greene: Robert Smith singing (Justin/JC laughter)
Here for this early 2000s VHS realness, as well as the JC/Justin action that starts around 1:23.

To all who celebrate, Merry Christmas!
horizon_greene: Robert Smith singing (bye bye bye)

I remember watching this when it originally aired, goodness. I'm glad that the NSYNC Christmas CD exists, by the way. It's been making me feel so festive the last couple of weeks <3

With whom, I'm not exactly sure, but I'm sure one could find multiple possibilities in his two films.

Which is another thing. I don't understand this career trajectory: being plucked off the street for The Crying Game, earning an Oscar nomination, playing Ra in Stargate, and then essentially doing NOTHING for the rest of his life, to date. Perhaps fame didn't agree with him, which is a shame, because it would mean—after rewatching Stargate last weekend—that I'd have a lot more movies left to watch.

In any event, things in this vid go kind of sideways around the 5:10 mark, including clips of a woman being shot multiple times and an alien disintegrating via radioactive bomb. It's all very Hollywood-style, but still. Just a heads up.

I remember being so enthralled by his Stargate character when I was 13, but since that was pre-internet (at least in my house) and pre-fandom, it eventually tapered off. What did people do with their fascinations back then? Was it all just Star Trek zines and precious little else?

Best part begins at 0:40 in, upper right corner, Tim forcibly yanked from the fray by his pitching coach. He did get back in there later, though. Well, sort of. It was more of an ineffectual hovering around the outskirts.

I find it a bit odd that MLB steadfastly refuses to broadcast footage of fans who run out onto the field, but when it's two teams brawling, we get uninterrupted coverage of the entire thing, from multiple angles. With commentary and lengthy analysis afterwards.

Oh, baseball. I may never understand all of your mysteries.

ETA: Thanks, MLB. Video now here, Tim shenanigans beginning at 0:26.

"So good."

horizon_greene: Robert Smith singing (winning pitcher & his catcher)
I saw this on tumblr earlier today and fell in love.

All 10 strikeouts from the Game 5 World Series clincher.

I'm fond of the moment where he falls off the mound at 1:14. Will it ever get old? I kind of doubt it.

Happy memories, anyway. Reminds me of how much I miss having Posey back there, however. Not just because I have a thing for how he looks in his catchers mask, but also because everyone had confidence that he could catch Tim's balls. Kiiiiiind of important.

BTW, Typewriters? I miss you guys, and your updates.

ETA: Found this next. Amazing. )

While it's fascinating to watch Tim pitch in super slow motion, and I love the little flash of skin at the end, I kind of feel like this entire video is tomfoolery. WTF is he even talking about? Was he stoned when he recorded the voiceover? "You're almost dumbfounded out there." Oh god.

Video behind the cut. )

In which I post pictures and inane ramblings regarding Tim's body. )

I could watch this at least five or six more times before I'd grow bored of it, I think. The sound of baseball, it's a beautiful thing.

And so different, these two. Tim throwing = <3. Barry throwing = I don't even know what that is, but I hope it works.

And the still shots, for good measure. )

I feel like those photos are approximately 1/8 of a turn away from being the Best Photos Ever. As it currently stands, I love that he's on the cover of SI, and I love the theme of the photoshoot, but the photos themselves...not sure I'm actually in love with those. (That outfit :/ )

But, seasonal and clearly worthy of posting.
