Photos: Giants @ Diamondbacks

First, some food porn:

It was awesome.

Also awesome: They opened the roof at Chase Field, even though it was 100 degrees outside <3

So between eating the hot dog and flailing over the roof opening, I wasn't really ready when the players came out.

But I got it together. Aubrey Huff!

There were a lot of heads in the way, constantly, but I still like this one a lot.

It was good to see the team. And to see Tim, even though it was mostly just the back of his head a lot of the time. I never knew I could be so enthralled by the curve of an ear, the pull of fabric across his shoulders.

I took 261 photos over the course of two games wherein Tim did not pitch. I likely need help.

I love how Crawford tucks his gloves in his pockets, one in each. And Jesus, Tim's back. I'd never realized ....

Crawford was pretty fun to photograph—it kind of surprised me.

And yeah, Tim's back. It's very...hmm.

The Tim and Cainer ones <3333 Beautiful photos! Where did you sit? Was it expensive?

[identity profile] horizon-greene.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Tim and Matt spent a good long while shoulder to shoulder :)

We were over by first base—13th row the first night, 20th row the second night. It wasn't overly expensive, but it certainly wasn't as cheap as last season, that's for sure!

Couple weeks ago, I think? Might have been Memorial Day weekend, but I can't remember exactly.

Kind of makes him looks short with those horizontal stripes, doesn't it? Which sort of defeats the point of high socks...

He looks like a gnome with or without the stripes on his socks. Nothing really makes him look tall, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because he's kind of an adorable character. Helps that he's one of the only hitters actually hitting right now.

More of the pitchers wearing high socks would also be appreciated. Timmy should bring back the socks. A few others should try them as well, such as Javier Lopez. *has not-so-secret crush*

Nice pictures, btw.

#RossIsBoss is the best, truly. Even if he'll never be tall :)

Tim in high socks is the most amazing thing; I can't figure out why he keeps stubbornly mixing in the RV-driving grandpa pants look all the time. It does him few favors.

I'm going to a couple of games in the next few weeks and I'm sure that I will see your 261 photos and raise you about a million. I don't know how people handled their obsessive fanlove in the time before digital cameras. Nice work!

If you catch a game where Tim is pitching, I have no doubt that you will take significantly more pictures than I did :) He tends to have that effect on people, I've noticed <3

Ooh, you got some awesome shots! Tim does have very nice shoulders. Verrry nice. Worth photographing in detail. :)

My friend refers to what Crawford does as the winged butt look. fwiw.

I was able to get a decent zoom lens past security. It helps a lot!

And yes, Tim's shoulders...I stared at them for a long, long time.

Crawford! He sort of grows on you, doesn't he?
