The Broncos lost. So no Superbowl for them. I'm more disappointed about this than I expected to be. I think that it's because if you're from Colorado, being a Broncos fan is genetic. Once you breathe that mountain air, it's unavoidable.
Then later I went with Cody to the Suns game. They were playing the Seattle Supersonics—a team that by rights, the Suns should be able to beat easily. But instead, we lost in double overtime on a long 3-pointer from Ray Allen. That was excruciating.
Then, leaving the parking garage, I rear-ended someone as I was pulling out of my space. There wasn't much damage—a dent above the headlight on my car, and a crack in the other person's taillight. It was still really upsetting. Plus I've never been at fault for any sort of traffic accident in my life.
By the time we were finally on the freeway heading home, the stress of the game and the stress of the accident had exploded into a migraine. And just to top it all off, the radio was absolute shit, so we ended up on ESPN Radio listening to someone discuss the professional bowling circuit.
*head in hands*
And can I also add that the Suns game wasn't even slashy? And Boris didn't start? (He did make the cover of the program...stupid picture though.)
There was one little glimmer of happiness, though, and it was that the Nuggets beat the Spurs—in San Antonio. That was a really special game.
