*What a series.* I didn't think anything could top 2010, but this postseason run has already been even more amazing, satisfying, and wonderful.

I'm glad we have a day off today to just savor it all.

Man, I remember a couple of weeks ago being bummed at the thought of Zito finally being picked to start a playoff game and perhaps not even getting to play if the Giants had lost Game 3 of the NLDS.

My cold, emotionless heart was slightly thawed by all my tiny cousins-- basically, eight tiny little Chinese kids from the ages of twelve to two-- running around excitedly in their SF gear and shrieking, "Posey! Scudero! Lincecum! Zito! Wilson!" when the win was official.

(We also set off sparklers. I even found it in me not to immediately post something to facebook to make my St. Louis side of the family feel bad.)

yo, did you see Lincecum's comments on Zeets today? They made me all sniffly.

“It’s just complete retribution,” Lincecum said. “I’m really close to him and I know he’s helped me through what I’ve gone through. He’s so selfless. He’s always going about his work, trying to be better no matter the situation. This has been a big week for him and it’s been fun to watch. I look up to him like he’s a big brother. It was pretty emotional for me to watch him pitch in St. Louis. I’m just really, really proud of him.”
