Oddly, a post about my Real Life
Feb. 5th, 2006 02:46 amAuston is back in Captain Fraternity mode, busy organizing all these rush events and generally having no time for anyone outside of SPB, but he was able to squeeze in a dinner date with me. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and it was my third time there in less than a month, and really I couldn't have been happier about that. We were seated at this tiny little table with a wall RIGHTTHERE on one side, and on the other side, we were thisclose to what appeared to be a multi-family mother-daughter retreat sort of situation. Then there was the mirror behind Auston's head, which proved to be somewhat disorienting and also bizarre, because it seemed like every time someone walked behind me, they would look at me in the mirror like they could see me and I couldn't see them, even though I...could.
I guess we appeared to be very much together in the couple sort of sense, because when the waiter brought our leftovers, he had them all in one bag, and marked "his" and "hers." Which would have been cute, except for the fact that we aren't dating. He also seemed perplexed when we split the check. Whatever, it was nice to spend time together in a manner that didn't involve glitter and too much eyeliner and superficiality and drunken kisses and arguments.
Former roommate Matt IMed me earlier to invite me and Garrett over to his house next weekend. Turns out he's newly single and wants to have a good time, and we're happy to oblige. Auston's thinking of coming too, and I imagine Cody will as well, and it'll be just like old times. Except no Katie, which is her own fault since she's the one who refuses to have anything to do with Garrett after the spectacular mishap in Pinetop 18 months ago...
Speaking of IM, I dreamed last night that I had an AIM conversation with
imre. But she had a strange screenname and an even stranger buddy icon (though I can't remember what exactly), and said "lol" and "omg" a lot, so I have a feeling it wasn't too realistic a dream ;)
Sigh. 1449 words of Boris/Shawn.
