The Crying Game
Dec. 8th, 2011 11:13 pmLocal library came up big—like seriously FTW—and how many times do you get the chance to say that with sincerity? But it was literally the only place I could acquire The Crying Game without driving to the west side or signing up for some useless subscription, and for that I am thankful, even though it had been 8 years since I'd gone to the public library (in my defense, I have gone to the university library many, many times over the past decade) and SO MANY THINGS HAD CHANGED. It was like self-checkout at the grocery store, so disorienting and perplexing at first, with the scanning of the things and the swiping of the things and the unlocking of the things.
But, success.
And people. THIS FILM. I know I'm ridiculously late to the party by nearly 20 years, but I am in love and don't understand where this has been all my life.
( Cut in case there are people who haven't seen it and don't know ~the twist~ )
I've renewed the movie, because I'm not quite ready to part with it yet. Probably worth purchasing, if I can find it somewhere <3
