I feel like those photos are approximately 1/8 of a turn away from being the Best Photos Ever. As it currently stands, I love that he's on the cover of SI, and I love the theme of the photoshoot, but the photos themselves...not sure I'm actually in love with those. (That outfit :/ )

But, seasonal and clearly worthy of posting.

The outfit is just...I mean, I understand what they're doing there, but it's so disastrously unflattering and the cummerbund in particular takes it to a level that I will never be comfortable with.

The second-to-last photo is my favorite by far. The last one would have been, for the reasons you've cited above, except I can't get past the outfit. (Also lol @ the cork on a string—what exactly is the point of that.)

I *love* that video, especially the hair in the wind tunnel part. :::sigh::: I'm "mehh" about the tux pics...I actually like the tux itself, being a huge fan of black and red. But the hat is not flattering at all. And I'm not crazy about his facial expressions in the pics. Still, I'm getting a copy of the magazine -- have had no luck finding it locally but a friend from out of state is sending it to me.

I think the bowtie is unconscionable. I realize that it's his *thing* or whatever, but it's so...eesh. (The cummerbund is worse.) To be honest, I couldn't help but wish that Deanne Fitzmaurice had shot these; she has a knack for capturing his face as just the right angle, and it's such a good concept, it could've been epic.

I've been debating the bowtie a little myself. I almost think it would be borderline okay if only he weren't wearing the cummerbund (although ideally he'd be wearing neither...).

Who in the world styled this shoot, I wonder?
