horizon_greene: Robert Smith singing (winning pitcher & his catcher)

Yesterday was a day. The traffic getting to the game was the worst I'd ever seen. We were still in the car, going nowhere, during the military flyover, and I was having a minor meltdown because we didn't spend all that money to sit in the fucking car aslkfjalskdf. But we managed to fling ourselves into our seats in time for the first pitch, and then Jess brought me a beer, and the situation improved.

And then Tim gave up three runs in the first inning, which was an oops, but at least he looked magnificent, with his hair everywhere and this super-defiant set to his shoulders. He's very thin; curves are gone, but he's got cheekbones for days again.

And Buster was back behind the plate, and it was a beautiful thing, even if the game was not.

Nice set! I especially like #5 from the top where Tim looks off balance, and the two at the bottom where he's up to bat. :)

Incredible photos!

I noticed Tim cut his hair only a little. I think our hair is the same length now.

Great photos! I'm totally jellus of your ability to catch him on the mound -- all of my good pictures are of him waiting to hit or before he starts his motion, because it's the only time he's slow enough for my camera (and my ability). What are your thoughts about the park?

These are *fantastic.* It's inspiring to know that you can take such pictures with a zoom. Makes me want to learn more about photography.

I think my favorites are 7 and 8. I love the threesome in 7 and the way the ball's halfway between Panda and Crawford. And, as Rokimova says, the composition of 8 is unusual and beautiful.

While watching this game, I was hoping that you'd managed to go - probably the only guaranteed Timmy start of the whole season because of opening day.

That stadium and its infield gave the Giants a run for their money.

And the D-backs kinda did, too, come to think of it. ;-)

Ooh, gorgeous shots! I think my favorite is #2 - it's such a different one-footed balance than anything he does during his pitching motion. A really endearing stance.

This must look like such a random comment, which it is, but my LJ used to be [livejournal.com profile] sourberrie in case the new name throws you off. Anyway, I'm not sure if you still follow the Suns, but this funny interview with Steve Nash just came on and it made me think of you and wonder if you had seen it.

So yeah, I'll stop being random lol.
