My right knee and right wrist have been aching all day. I don't know what's wrong; I'm used to some pain and soreness in my legs from running, but this persistent arthritic-y inflamed discomfort is a new and different thing. I popped Motrin all day at work and was generally irritable the entire time. Now I'm home and icing the knee and hoping it helps.
The knee needs to shape up for the weekend, though, because I plan on traipsing around in heels for most of my 57-hour whirlwind trip to visit Auston in Chicago. My flight is ridiculously expensive (I could be flying to London for Wimbledon for what I'm paying), but it'll be worth it. I told Auston it just needs to be the best weekend ever. No pressure, baby.
By the way, I think I've been watching too many documentaries. Yesterday's topics included a sperm whale that spontaneously exploded and a group of scientists who were convinced they'd discovered an 18,000-year-old RL hobbit in a cave. The whale documentary very nearly made me ill, and the hobbit documentary was impossible to follow; by the end my brain was swirling with homo erectus and microcephaly and I still had no idea what exactly they thought they had found. I felt better, generally, than I did after watching a doc on Nazi scrapbooks the day before, though :/
I should just stick to my prison and gang documentaries. At least then I know what I'm getting myself into.
P.S. Wimbledon is depressing.
